On Wednesday 7th July 2021 we were delighted to welcome some special visitors to the Pier. A Multicat Vessel and Dive team came to the Pier to carry out investigations and remove previously identified metallic debris from below the seabed, in the area near the old Pier head adjacent to where the old WC block was located.
The specialist dive team will continue to undertake this work under controlled conditions, in preparation for piling work to begin soon to support the new WC block.
Due to poor weather conditions from high winds and rain the works were stalled slightly and will continue on Thursday 8th July until the late afternoon.
