Codling
Codling are juvenile cod that frequent the Thames Estuary during the colder months. They feed on smaller fish and crustaceans and are a popular catch for anglers fishing from Southend Pier. Codling are subject to strict fishing regulations, including size and bag limits, to protect their stocks.
