About the Event
‘The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever' is coming to Southend!
This July, all Kate Bush fans are invited to join in for a day of fun on Southend Pier, celebrating the iconic Wuthering Heights song. Witness the familiar hypnotic dance routine performed by a sea of red-dressed 'Cathys'. It will be a spectacle like no other!
Live performances include:
Fi & Dave (Tuppenny Bunters) & Darren Jones (3 piece)
Leigh Starlites Majorettes
Choir performance of 'This Woman's Work'
Performances take place at the Pier Head from 1pm. Trains leave the Shore end on the hour and half past.
Full schedule:
1:15pm - Wuthering Heights dance 1
1:45 - Tuppenny Bunters performing a selection of their favourite Kate Bush songs.
2:30 - Mudlarks Scratch Choir performing a four-part harmony of This Woman's Work hosted by Cleo Lane
3pm - Leigh Starlites Majorettes Group dancing to several Kate Bush songs.
3:30pm - Wuthering Heights dance 2
4pm - Darren, Rosie, and Hannah performing their favourite Kate Bush numbers.
4:45pm - Wuthering Heights dance 3 - inviting all families and friends to join in. Don't worry if you don't know the official routine. Come along and just dance however you like to this fabulous song.
‘The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ is a worldwide dance event that has been going since 2013. It started in Brighton and has now reached Australia, America, France, Belgium, Germany, and many towns in the UK. Never before has it taken place in Southend... until now!
