Rubbing Trail
Discover more about the wildlife surrounding Southend Pier with our Rubbing Trail.
Along the Pier Stem and around the Pier Head, you’ll find 12 rubbing plaques featuring some of the animals and birds that visit the pier. Once you’ve found each plaque, be sure to capture the rubbing and by the end of your journey, you’ll have a fantastic collection showcasing the incredible creatures that call the Thames Estuary home.
The trail will take you the full length of Southend Pier, an impressive 1.33 miles, but you can explore at your own pace and even take the pier train one way if you like!
