Covid-19 Update

There are a number of social distancing and cleaning measures in place to keep visitors safe during the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic. 

  • The Pier Railway and Walkway are open.

  • Please follow the rule of six, only groups of six or under will be allowed. 

  • Please scan the NHS COVID-19 App/QR Code-track and trace poster upon entry to the Pier.

  • Face coverings must be worn in all enclosed areas of the Pier and whilst travelling on the Pier trains - Face masks are available to purchase at dispensers in the station.

  • The Pier trains are running with a limited capacity to allow for safe travel. There may be extended waiting times at the stations during busy periods. 

  • Indoor café facilities are available at the Pier Head. Upon entry you will be asked for contact details for track and trace purposes. 

  • Observe social distancing – stay 2m apart from people outside your household

  • Takeaway facilities are available at the Pier Head

  • Alcohol only served with a substantial meal in Salt Café. 

  • Toilets are open and routinely cleaned. Allow for waiting times during busy periods

  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided and regularly wash your hands

  • Do not visit if you or any members of your household have symptoms – stay at home

  • Where possible please use card/contactless payments

  • Anyone not adhering to these measures will be removed from the Pier
